James joined DLC in 2017 as an Accounting Consultant and now serves as an Associate Client Services Director for the Orange County market, where he is responsible for account management and new business development.
James has over 10 years of accounting consulting and public accounting experience. He began his career at Grant Thornton Brisbane, Australia where he serviced clients in the Construction, Hospital and Healthcare, Manufacturing and Technology and Innovation industries. While with Grant Thornton James seconded to the Grant Thornton Calgary, Canada and Grant Thornton Philadelphia offices where he serviced the Energy, Pharmaceuticals and Technology industries. James is a CPA (Active) and Chartered Accountant (ICAANZ – Active). His consulting focus centered on SEC Reporting, FASB Pronouncement analysis and implementation (incl. ASC 606 and ASC 842), purchase accounting and post-acquisition integration, SOX Compliance, financial audit planning and coordination, and consolidated financial statement preparation.
James received his Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of Queensland in Australia. He is an active member of Orange County’s Financial Executives International (FEI) networking Group. Outside of the office, James is an avid traveler and loves to explore all things outdoors in Southern California.
