What is your hometown? New Brunswick NJ, currently in South Orange County.
What is your alma mater? Sonoma State University for my undergrad, and University of California, Irvine for my MBA.
What are your favorite things to do outside of the office? I enjoy being outside, hiking, golfing, snowboarding, and mountain biking. I’ve played competitive rugby for 20 years, and now I play socially and coach for the South OC Raptors Rugby Club.
How has your background impacted your experience as a consultant? have a proven track record of successfully partnering at the business unit and board levels in dynamic corporate environments to drive financial excellence and informed decision-making. With experience in companies of various sizes —public, private, PE, and pre-IPO — across many industries, including entertainment, hospitality, aerospace, financial services, ad-tech, customer experience solutions, defense, and medical devices, I am able to seamlessly and quickly make an impact.
What’s a typical workday like for you? It depends on my client’s needs. I always start the day by reviewing the priorities for that day and the near term, and by confirming if there have been any changes with the client. I consistently communicate with my client on status updates and make recommendations on scope changes and priorities based on my observations.
What motivates you to wake up and go to work every day? Every client presents a unique challenge, requiring tailored solutions and strategic planning. I enjoy the process of analyzing, strategizing, and implementing effective financial solutions to meet my clients’ needs.
What kind of work have you been doing? My current project is with a defense contractor, where I am rebuilding their forecast tools (including revenue, direct and indirect expenses, headcount, CapEx, cash flow, and balance sheet). This work is making their reporting more accurate and reducing their cycle time by up to 75%. They are also active in the M&A market, and I have been assisting them with their quality of earnings and diligence requests.
Where do you believe you deliver the most value to your client? Whether it’s assessing the current state, improving processes, providing managerial leadership, or addressing day-to-day tactical needs, my extensive experience allows me to quickly provide value to my clients.
How do you organize environments with a lack of reporting infrastructure or inefficiency? My first step is to learn the current process, its strengths, and its weaknesses. I then meet with the teams who own those processes, as well as the customers, to better understand what the ideal state would be. Working with the process owners, I build an action plan that includes recommendations for best practices and future-proofing, ensuring the enhancement can address both today’s challenges and set the team up for success in managing future needs. While building and implementing the solution, I also work with the team to create a change management plan to ensure we can manage the migration and achieve maximum adoption.
What’s your process like? First, I learn the business, what the client needs today, what they will need in the future, and who the enhancement will impact to ensure I fully understand the scope and can get buy-in from the business partners. I build out a comprehensive schedule, indicating where bottlenecks and risks could impact the project, as well as identifying opportunities to expedite the project. I am in constant communication with the key business partners to ensure they are aware of the project’s status and to alert them to any risks as early as possible so they can be managed or mitigated. Finally, once the deliverable has concluded, I ensure it has met or exceeded the team’s expectations, and I share documentation around the process/deliverable to ensure a smooth transition to the client.
