“The transition into consulting from industry has been rewarding in two key ways: First, ownership and impact of my contributions—I can take ownership of entire projects without going through different levels of hierarchy. Clients respect my results and give serious thought to whether to implement them or not. I see the impact right away. Second, being creative – I enjoy when clients give me something at a very high level and ask me to run with it. I enjoy the process of brainstorming, discussing my findings and ideas with clients, getting their advice, and delivering final results. In corporate, most of the time I just did what I was asked to do under specific instructions.”
